INRiM coordinates and participates in a large number of national and international research projects. The former are funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR), the latter by the European Union through the European Metrology Programme for Innovation and Research (EMPIR), the European Partnership on Metrology (EPM), the European Research Council (ERC) and the Horizon 2020 framework programme.
