In support of industrial decarbonization processes, energy supply from renewable sources and short- and long-term energy storage, INRIM laboratories are active in the development of instrumentation and measurement methods of thermophysical properties of pure fluids and mixtures having relevant environmental interest or impact, like water, air, combustion products, fuels, refrigerants, solvents. These data provide crucial input for the evaluation of the thermodynamic models needed for a precise assessment of climate change and the development of ecological technologies and processes.
