Calibration laboratory for instrumentation used in electromagnetic compatibility by test accredited laboratories.

In accordance with ISO guidelines, one of the most important requirements for the accreditation of testing laboratories that perform electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests is the metrological traceability. INRiM develops and maintains reference systems for the calibration of instruments and devices used in EMC testing.

The calibrated instrumentation and devices include:

  • coupling and decoupling networks;
  • attenuators;
  • signal generators;
  • oscilloscopes;
  • artificial networks;
  • generators of transients/bursts of electrical impulses (Fast Transient / Burst) and combined voltage and current waves (Surge);
  • directional couplers;
  • voltage dividers for fast transients.
