The laboratory, equipped with a temperature and humidity controlled shielded room, realizes and disseminates the National Standards of power and scattering parameters in the frequency range from 9 kHz to 50 GHz through microcalorimetric systems and vector network analyzers with SI traceability.

The available systems allow you to make measurements in coaxial lines with PC-N, 3.5mm, 2.92mm and 2.4mm connections. Furthermore, power measurements are possible from DC while waveguide scattering parameters can reach 110 GHz by means of suitable test port extenders.

Moreover the laboratory is active in the development and characterization of devices and measurement systems for microwave quantum photonics.
