The laboratory provides for the dissemination, with radiation thermometry techniques, of the International Temperature Scale (ITS-90) by carrying out: calibrations of primary standard monochromatic radiation thermometers, of black-body cells at the fixed points between indium and copper, of precision infrared radiation thermometers, of industrial IR radiation thermometers (between -30 °C and 1500 °C) and of radiative heat flux meters for high irradiation levels (between 10 kW/m² and 120 kW/m²). The laboratory also provides advice on problems relating to thermal measurements with contactless techniques in the various application sectors.
