The laboratory performs precision calibrations of flow meters and counters. through gravimetric method using water.
The calibration of the meters (in mass or volume) extends over a measurement range from 0.2 L/h to 25,000 L/h, at temperatures between 20 °C and 80 °C. Calibration of thermal energy meters is also carried out.
Inter-laboratory comparisons for flow meters and counters are periodically organized. Advanced courses are organized for laboratory technicians, metrologists, and quality managers.
The research focuses on novel calibration models, particularly for low flow rates and for the dynamic calibration of flow meters.
