INRiM develops and maintains standard systems for high AC currents, ensuring dissemination by calibrating sensors, transducers and measurement systems for accredited calibration laboratories, manufacturers and industrial test laboratories.
The calibration services, with CMC shown in the BIPM KCDB and validated by participating in international EURAMET comparisons, include:
- Measurement of the ratio and phase errors of current transformers with primary currents from 0.1 A to 10 kA by compensated current comparator;
- Measurement of the ratio and phase errors of sensors, non-conventional current transformers and AC measurement systems with primary current from 0.1 A to 7.2 kA by comparison with a standard current transformer;
- Calibration of the current transformer test set.
