Electromagnetic fields (EMF) are used in many areas, including energy and biomedicine. With a mix of experimental and computational approaches, the sector carries out dosimetric analysis to assess the level of human exposure to EMF, evaluating the physical effects characterising it, checking compliance with the limits for safety and identifying possible mitigation strategies.

Special attention is devoted to people bearing implanted medical devices, which can interact with EMF.
