The laboratory develops knowledge on the interactions between radiation sources, materials and observers, supports the manufacturing industry, assures the development of technology, sources and materials to optimize consumption, as well as Smart-City, Smart-Lighting and IoT applications of Industry 4.0, contributes to the preservation and fruition of cultural heritage with non-invasive methods of analysis. The study of optical and radiative characteristics of materials and sources, combined with observer evaluation, allows the quantification of materials appearance.
