Quancom

Quancom is a project on quantum communication for the development and experimentation on the protection of a network using quantum cryptography (Quantum Key Distribution, QKD). The Project also envisages the exploration of two other strategic issues such as the completion of the fiber network by connecting to the Italian Quantum Backbone infrastructure for the transmission of the secure time signal in cooperation with QKD, and the experimentation of hybrid communication systems "optical fiber-free space” for the development of QKD applications in space.
