CAPSTAN

The Italian National Standard of capacitance will be redefined on quantum electrical metrology basis. The new capacitance realization will be based on the quantum Hall effect in graphene, implemented in a cryocooler and with digital impedance bridges for its exploitation. It will be permanently available for calibration purposes. The new capacitance standard, validated through Key Comparisons, will allow to revise the Italian CMCs.
