1. Springer (Publish & Read COMPACT)
Membership includes the possibility of publishing a very large number of articles in Open Access in hybrid journals available on the SpringerLink platform. The publication costs are already included in the amount paid for the subscription.
Duration: 2020-2024
Details: Corresponding authors can publish a significant number of articles in Gold Open Access (OA) in hybrid journals on SpringerLink. Publication costs are covered by the subscription fee.
Eligible Journals: Only hybrid journals on SpringerLink.
Article Types: Original papers and review papers; brief communications are excluded.
License: OA CC-BY 4.0.
Costs: Covered by the INRIM library subscription.
Does the publisher require an affiliation check? Yes, by the INRIM Library contact person. This check is simply to confirm that the author is actually affiliated with INRIM, to apply the free publication.
2. Wiley (Publish & Read)
Membership includes the possibility of publishing a large number of articles in Open Access in Wiley hybrid journals. The publication costs are already included in the amount paid for the subscription.
Duration: 2020–2023 (expired). Renewal under discussion.
Details: Corresponding authors could publish a significant number of Gold OA articles in hybrid journals on Wiley Online Library.
Eligible Journals: Only hybrid journals on Wiley Online Library.
Article Types: Original papers and review papers; brief communications are excluded.
License: OA CC-BY 4.0.
Costs: Covered by the INRIM library subscription.
Status: Until the agreement is renewed, free OA publishing is unavailable. Updates will follow.
The Wiley contract expired at the end of 2023. The renewal procedures have been started by CARE-CRUI, but, until they are concluded, the free Open Access publications are not available. The stipulation of the new agreement will be communicated promptly.
3. Royal Society of Chemistry (Publish & Read)
Membership includes the possibility of publishing a large number of articles in Open Access in RSC hybrid journals. The publication costs are already included in the amount paid for the subscription.
Duration: 2022–2024
Details: Corresponding authors can publish a significant number of Gold OA articles in hybrid journals on the RSC platform.
Eligible Journals: Only hybrid journals on the RSC platform.
License: OA CC-BY 4.0.
Costs: Covered by the INRIM library subscription.
4. IEEE (Publish&Read)
Membership includes the ability to publish an unlimited number of Open Access articles in IEEE hybrid and Open Access journals. Publishing costs are already included in the subscription fee.
Duration: August 1, 2022 – December 31, 2024
Details: Unlimited OA publishing in hybrid and OA journals on the IEEE platform.
Eligible Journals: Only IEEE hybrid and OA journals.
License: OA CC-BY 4.0.
Costs: Covered by the INRIM library subscription.
5. IOP (Publish&Read)
Membership includes the possibility of publishing an unlimited number of articles in Open Access in IOP's hybrid and Open Access journals. The publication costs are already included in the amount paid for the subscription.
Duration: January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2025
License: OA CC-BY 4.0.
Costs: Covered by the INRIM library subscription.
6 Elsevier (Publish&Read)
Membership includes the possibility of publishing a high number of Gold OA articles in hybrid journals, starting from July 1, 2023.
The types of articles covered by the agreement are as follows:
- Original Paper
- Review Paper
- Case Report
Duration: 2023–2027. Free publication is also available for a limited selection of fully Open Access journals.
Where to Publish: In hybrid journal titles and a limited number of fully Open Access titles (check with the library to confirm if the chosen journal is included in the list).
Required License: OA CC-BY 4.0.
Who Covers the Costs? The costs are included in the subscription paid by the INRIM library.
7. AIP (Publish&Read)
Membership includes the possibility of publishing an unlimited number of articles in Open Access in AIPss hybrid journals.
The types of articles covered by the agreement are as follows:
- Article
- Conference Article
- Letter
- Research Update
- Review
The publication costs are already included in the amount paid for the subscription.
Duration: 2023-2026
