Friday, September 29, from 5 pm to Midnight, and Saturday, September 30, from 10:30 am to 7 pm, the European Researcher's Night returns to Turin, organised simultaneously in many cities in Europe and around the world.
The event is held for the second consecutive year as part of the UNIGHT project, and the Università di Torino coordinates it.
This year, the Researcher's Night offers many new features, starting with the main location, hosted by Musei Reali Thus, open-air laboratories, science cafes and games for all ages will take place from the Piazzetta Reale to the Giardini Reali. At the same time, the stage of the charming Roman theatre (Museo di Antichità) will host shows and musical performances.
Multidisciplinary Researchers groups of Università di Torino, Politecnico di Torino and numerous Research Institutions have co-planned the activities on around six reference topics:
- Climate change adaptation
- Research for health
- Smart cities and climate neutrality
- Clean water
- Healthy soil and food
- Cultural heritage.
The National Metrology Institute of Italy (INRiM) is participating in the Researcher’s Night with the following initiatives as part of the Play Area, Research Laboratories and Science Cafes:
