2025 IMEKO Joint Conference

From September 14 to 17, 2025, the “IMEKO Joint Conference 2025” will be held in Turin.
The event is organized by Politecnico di Torino, with the support of INRiM, and in collaboration with Eurolab and ASSOTIC – Italian CABs Association.

IMEKO (International Measurement Confederation) is a non-governmental federation that brings together 42 Member Organizations (MO) engaged in the advancement of measurement technologies. The organization is structured into 26 Technical Committees (TC), which organize on specific topics symposia, conferences, workshops, seminars; publish proceedings of events, text-books, glossaries, studies, etc. For Italy, the role of MO is held by INRiM, which actively participates in the work of several TCs.

This international conference aims to gather experts both from industry and academia, covering topics from the fields of:

  • TC8 – Traceability in Metrology;
  • TC11 – Measurement in Testing, Inspection and Certification;
  • TC24 – Chemical Measurements.

Considering the wide interdisciplinarity of the three Technical Committees, many topics and metrological issues will be addressed during the Conference, including (but not limited to): certified reference materials, digitalization in traceability, digital twins, quality management and conformity assessment in TIC sector, chemical and biochemical sensors, gas analysis for climate change and energy transition, chemical metrology.

The conference will be held in the lecture halls of the Lingotto Campus of Politecnico di Torino, located at Via Nizza 230, 10126 Turin.

The Opening Ceremony will take place on September 15 and will feature a Keynote Lecture titled “Measuring and adapting quality infrastructure in a changing world”, delivered by Vito Fernicola, Senior Researcher at INRiM.
