Prof. Lucia Caspani (University of Insubria) will give the seminar ‘Nonlinear Optics for Quantum Science’ on May 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
This seminar, co-organized with the Politecnico di Torino University of Turin in the context of the Master’s Degree in Quantum Engineering, will discuss the most common forms of quantum light, such as squeezed states, single photons, and entangled photons, and will explore how they can be generated using nonlinear optical processes.
In the final part, approaches to the miniaturization of these quantum light sources on photonic chips will be examined, highlighting the advantages and challenges of integrated quantum photonics.
The event will take place in the Conference Hall of Building M (floor -2) at the INRiM Campus (Strada delle Cacce 91, Turin).
