Phantom per Imaging a Risonanza Magnetica wide

In magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-based diagnostics, reference materials and anthropomorphic phantoms are produced, whose electromagnetic properties are modulated to emulate the behaviour of real tissue. Based on polymeric, synthetic or natural gels, such test objects are prepared using 3D printing techniques.

In parallel, digital phantoms are generated for the calibration of MRI scanners through the generation of synthetic data obtained using an MRI simulator based on Bloch equations, recently implemented in INRiM.
