As said, I am a researcher of the Material Dep. at the IEN Galileo Ferraris.
Since 1993, I have been working on the Barkhausen effect, an old (1919) but still interesting effect occurring during the magnetization of a magnetic material. Jump to my page to know (almost) everything about this effect.
I was graduated in 1987 at the Politecnico di Torino (Nuclear Engineering) with a thesis on the magnetic brain signals measured with a SQUID (see the list of my papers).
In 1993, I got the Ph.D in Physics, working at the Dep. Of Physics at the University of Trento (Lab. Basse Temperature), with a thesis on the low temperature magnetic noise of soft magnetic materials (see the list of my papers).
In 1994, I entered at the IEN first as
a technician, then as a researcher in 1996.
